Soap Saves Lives Box:
Packing Hygiene Kit Supplies, Delivering Hope.

“Wash your hands!” is a phrase we hear often. But what do you do if you don’t have soap? How do you stay healthy and protect yourself against viruses, bacteria, and disease when you can’t properly wash your hands? 

This is the unfortunate reality for thousands of people experiencing homelessness every day. To serve those in need, Amazon has teamed up with Clean the World to deliver 27,850 hygiene kits to charity organizations across the United States.  

By ordering your Soap Saves Lives Box and building hygiene kits, you are helping Amazon and Clean the World build awareness for the importance of soap and good hygiene. Thank you for your support!

Plan Ahead

Make your event fun and engaging! Here are some tips to make your build a success:

  1. Play music and provide snacks and drinks.
  2. Dress the part – Increase your impact and order “Wash Your Hands, Bro” shirts for the family! Each shirt provides 10 bars of soap to 10 people in need.
  3. Get the little helpers involved – They can color the box, decorate notecards, or write messages to hygiene kit recipients. 
  4. Gather supplies – Check out the list below.  
  5. Charge your phone – This will be an experience you will want to share with family and friends.

Everything you will need is located inside of your Soap Saves Lives Box.

  1. Wash your hands. Here’s a song you can sing while washing your hands.
  2. Protect your table with a tablecloth or sheet.
  3. Carefully open your SOAP SAVES LIVES BOX—you will be using it again to pack your completed hygiene kits in!
  4. Next, take out each of the small boxes and line up everything on your table or counter.
  5. At the beginning of the line should be your empty hygiene kit bags and soap. The rest is up to you!
  6. Package one of each item in a hygiene kit bag, and place your completed kit into your now-empty SOAP SAVES LIVES BOX.

While You're Building

  1. Have fun! You are doing something great for a mission bigger than any of us. Be proud of the work you are doing, and let your heart feel good.
  2. Take photos and videos! You are making a huge impact so share it with the world!! Photos and videos will encourage others to ACT. Don’t forget to use hashtag #soapsaveslivesbox.

After your build

Now that your hygiene kits are built and ready to go, it is time to send them to the charity!

When it is time to distribute to your charity, Clean the World will email you a prepaid shipping label.

  • Attach this shipping label to the outside of your SOAP SAVES LIVES BOX. If you do not have a printer, you can request a label at any UPS store or location or ask a UPS representative to bring one to you. Simply provide the tracking number provided by Clean the World to UPS. 
  • Bring your SOAP SAVES LIVES BOX full of assembled hygiene kits to any UPS store or location for delivery or schedule a pickup. There may be a small charge for labels and pickups from your home. Please check ups.com for more details.

How We Are Keeping You Safe

At Clean the World, we take necessary precautions to ensure the items in your SOAP SAVES LIVES BOXES are completely safe.

All of the personal care products that have come to Clean the World facilities remain in their original packaging for 7 days or more. After clearing the 7-day “product quarantine”, the outside of all boxes are disinfected. Clean the World’s personnel building the SOAP SAVES LIVES BOXES have done so wearing protective gear and adhering to Clean the World’s safety guidelines. Rest assured, the only thing arriving at your doorstep is your box and a great time!
