Job Description:

The Director of Marketing’s role is to develop and implement an integrated marketing and communications strategies to maximize lead generation and brand awareness for Clean the World. As a senior member of the marketing team, the Director of Marketing will translate business strategies into concrete, detailed marketing communication plans for all client-facing marketing programs. This individual will continuously seek innovative ways to segment and deploy targeted campaigns to new and existing clients and then analyze marketing effectiveness and report findings to key spokespersons across the organization. This Director of Marketing will operate as the first point of contact for external clients and report directly to the Vice President of Marketing.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute brand awareness strategies with targeted, high-level external audiences, including media and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sales, product, community engagement, and information technology to create and deploy successful multi-channel marketing initiatives leveraging SEO, social media, email, direct mail, print, and industry events
  • Drive customer acquisition initiatives to maximize revenue for Clean the World’s social enterprise
  • Author comprehensive lead nurturing campaigns to ensure successful conversions across the entire customer journey
  • Directs coordination of content generation to positively impact successful targeted campaigns to ultimately grow revenue, minimize churn, and increase customer and donor engagement
  • Track and report the effectiveness of campaigns against defined KPIs and use closed-loop analysis to continuously improve campaign performance
  • Communicates with external clients and manages inquiries, providing marketing collateral to external and internal client teams
  • Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization, working with the executive team to define and deploy appropriate marketing initiatives to support goals
  • Responsible for hiring, motivating, developing, and evaluating marketing team members and will act on the behalf of the VP of Marketing as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree (concentration in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field)
  • Minimum of five years in marketing, communication, or journalism
  • Experience in public relations and/or marketing automation experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to identify opportunities for best practices and execute plans in alignment with business needs
  • Understanding of the sales process and best practices to generate leads and donors
  • Strong knowledge of omnichannel marketing with proven results
  • Data-driven and research-oriented
  • Strong leadership skills including coaching and developing direct reports
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines
