Tommie Eaton, Clean the World Ambassador, and Austin Eaton, Head of Marketing for Clean the World in Europe and the UK, represented Clean the World during a recent visit to London, where they spent an afternoon speaking with Bradley University students.
The session brought together an engaging and thoughtful discussion on sustainability, social enterprise, and the evolving role of business in today’s world.
Tommie shared the story of Clean the World Global as a real‑world example of social enterprise in action. Through insights into hospitality waste diversion and global hygiene access, the session demonstrated how purpose‑led organisations can deliver measurable environmental and social impact at scale.
The conversation sparked insightful discussions around sustainability challenges, the differences between approaches in the USA and Europe, and the ongoing balance between profit, purpose, and impact. Students asked thoughtful questions and explored how commercial success and positive impact do not need to exist in opposition, but can instead reinforce one another.
It was genuinely inspiring to see the next generation thinking so critically and creatively about how business can be a force for good. These conversations are a powerful reminder of the importance of education, collaboration, and exposure to real‑world impact models, especially when organisations actively engage with students and institutions around the world.
At Clean the World, we are always encouraged by opportunities to engage with students and institutions that are eager to learn, challenge assumptions, and contribute to a more sustainable and socially responsible future.
