The WASH Foundation
We support The WASH Foundation, a global NGO whose purpose is to transform the lives of people in need and improve their health, by donating soap and hygiene kits to them. These are then distributed to women, children and communities around the world to promote access to safe water, sanitation, & hygiene (WASH).
Why is WASH so important?
Today, more than 844 million people lack access to basic drinking water, and more than 2.3 billion people lack access to basic sanitation. Every year, millions of girls drop out of school because of feminine hygiene management issues. The need for improved access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) is critical as the leading cause of death for children under age five is still hygiene-related illnesses like diarrhea and pneumonia. To date, more children die from WASH-related causes than from malaria, AIDS, and tuberculosis combined.

Volunteer Opportunities (Orlando, Florida)
If you are visiting Orlando or live in the area, we encourage you to volunteer at our Clean the World Headquarters.
You will have the opportunity to visit our one-of-a-kind Soap Museum and to volunteer to support The WASH Foundation by sorting out the soap bars and plastic bottle amenities that Clean the World collects from the hospitality industry and recycles. You may also pack the recycled soap into boxes that are then distributed via global NGOs, such as The WASH Foundation.
