In September, Clean the World set out to shine a light on the true heartbeat of hospitality: housekeepers. Through our Heroes of Hospitality campaign, we invited our more than 8,000 hotel partners worldwide to share images and stories of their housekeeping teams—the people whose work sustains every guest experience, brand reputation, and act of sustainability.
The response was nothing short of extraordinary.
A Global Wave of Recognition
From Amsterdam to Orlando, from boutique eco-lodges to major hotel groups, submissions poured in. Hundreds of images and testimonials showcased smiling teams, proud moments, and behind-the-scenes heroes whose efforts rarely make the headlines but always define the guest experience.
These contributions highlighted what we have always known: housekeepers are not just essential—they are inspirational.
Why This Campaign Mattered
Housekeepers clean millions of rooms every day, ensuring safety, comfort, and loyalty. They are also at the frontlines of sustainability, partnering with Clean the World to recycle soaps and amenities that would otherwise end up in landfill. Thanks to their dedication, millions of vulnerable people around the world receive lifesaving hygiene supplies.
This month reminded us that when housekeepers are celebrated, recognised, and supported, the entire hospitality industry thrives.
