Our partnership with Hilton Grand Vacations began in 2009 and their impact has gone far. Over the past 14 years, they have helped us produce close to 150,000 bars of soap as part of our hospitality recycling program!
Their housekeepers collect soap and bottled amenities from 45 properties and over 14,000 hotel rooms worldwide, while diverting 18,000 pounds of waste from landfills .
Hilton Grand Vacations employees have participated in impactful, team building volunteer events for Clean the World Foundation in Orlando, FL and Las Vegas, NV, logging over 522 hours in 2022 alone! With the support of Hilton Grand Vacations, we are able to provide vulnerable communities worldwide access to hygiene necessities and WASH programming. Working together, we continue to save lives.
Clean the World is a social enterprise dedicated to WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) and sustainability. Operating in Orlando, Montreal, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, London, and Punta Cana, Clean the World leads a “Global Hygiene Revolution” by working with more than 8,100 hospitality partners to recycle hygiene products and provide these vital supplies to people in need in over 127 countries. Clean the World offers sustainable, socially conscious programs to the global marketplace, aiming to prevent the millions of deaths caused by hygiene-related illnesses each year. Since inception, the organization has served more than 15 million individuals, distributed 75 million bars of soap and 5 million hygiene kits, and diverted over 23 million pounds of waste from landfills around the world!
Through our hospitality partners, Clean the World recycles soap to save lives. By sending your used soap and plastic bottled amenities including large format bottles to us, you’re preventing millions of pounds of waste from ending up in landfill while helping to provide vulnerable communities worldwide access to hygiene necessities and WASH programming.
Through completely self-sustained mobile shower units, the Fresh Start WASH & Wellness Program offers showers and other critical hygiene services to individuals experiencing homelessness and economic hardship in cities across the US. In addition to daily access to ADA accommodating showers, individuals experiencing homelessness will also be able to access additional services including: free mental health or substance abuse treatment, food assistance, help getting identification, clean clothes, healthcare, veterinary care for animals, job placement training, and housing assistance.
