In addition to soap, you can also choose to collect plastic bottled amenities as part of our full program.

General Program Questions

The Brand Standard is your brand’s new sustainability initiative requiring full-service Hyatt properties to recycle discarded soap through Clean the World. This supports brand-wide environmental goals, reduces landfill waste, and helps provide lifesaving hygiene products to communities in need.

The Brand Standard covers soap recycling only. This includes collection bins, prepaid shipping labels, onboarding materials, and quarterly sustainability impact reports. Plastic bottle recycling (shampoo, lotion, etc.) is optional and billed separately.

Your housekeeping team will place discarded soap bars in Clean the World bins provided to you. When bins are full, you ship them back using prepaid labels. We provide all supplies, onboarding support, and training tools to make integration simple and efficient.

Most hotels are fully set up within 10 business days. You’ll receive everything you need to begin participating, along with the option for a short welcome call.

Yes. Real-time data is always available in our customer portal, which shows the amount of soap recycled, waste diverted from landfills, and lives impacted. These reports can be automated and are great for internal use or showcasing your efforts to guests.

Billing & Participation

  • Full-Service Hyatt Properties (Managed): Soap recycling is covered under the Brand Standard.
  • Franchise Full-Service Hyatt Properties: Participation isn’t mandated, but the program cost is typically embedded in your supply pricing. You’re likely already paying for the program — you just need to activate it.
  • Select-Service Hyatt Properties: Not covered by the Brand Standard. If you’d like to participate, you can — but you’ll be billed directly by Clean the World.

If your hotel is already enrolled and you’re now covered under the Brand Standard, your account will be updated, and you’ll no longer be billed directly for soap recycling. If you’re also recycling plastic amenities, that service will continue to be billed separately unless you request a change.

That’s completely optional. Bottle recycling is a separate service not included in the Brand Standard. If your property chooses to add it, we’ll bill you directly and provide separate bins and impact tracking.

Franchise & Brand Participation

While the Brand Standard may not be mandatory for franchise properties, the cost of soap recycling is often already embedded in your supply chain pricing. So, while you technically have a choice, we strongly recommend participating to take full advantage of what you’re already paying for.

The Brand Standard only applies to full-service Hyatt properties. Select-service properties are not included in this initiative. However, you’re still welcome to participate — you’ll just be billed separately by Clean the World. Our team will walk you through the next steps after you sign up.

I Filled Out the Form — What Happens Next?

Once your form is submitted, here’s what you can expect:

  • Full-Service Hyatt (Managed):
     - If you’re already participating, we’ll transition your account under the Brand Standard and update your billing.
     - If you’re new to the program, we’ll set up your account, send you portal access, training materials, and your first kit of supplies.
  • Franchise Full-Service Hyatt:
     We’ll verify your supply arrangement and help activate your participation under the embedded pricing. You’ll receive onboarding support and resources just like any other participating property.
  • Select-Service Hyatt:
     Our team will follow up to confirm your interest, gather billing details, and walk you through onboarding as a separately billed participant.

In all cases, our Client Success team will reach out via email to guide you through the next steps, ensure everything is set up correctly, and answer any questions you may have.
