We’re proud to share that Clean the World has been shortlisted for the Circular Economy Award at the 2025 Global Good Awards, taking place on Wednesday 24 September at BMA House in London.
This nomination recognizes our mission to close the loop in hospitality, recycling discarded soap and plastic hotel amenities into hygiene kits distributed to vulnerable communities across the world. Since 2009, we’ve diverted millions of waste items from landfill and helped improve health outcomes for communities in need around the world.
“We are delighted to be nominated for the Circular Economy Award this year,” said Austin Eaton, Head of Marketing for Clean the World Europe and UK.
“The Global Good Awards is a fantastically well-respected awards body, and we’re proud to be recognized for our efforts in helping the hospitality industry transition toward a more circular economy.”
About the Global Good Awards
Founded in 2015 by Karen Sutton, the Global Good Awards honours purpose-driven businesses, charities, NGOs, and social enterprises that are creating practical, real-world impact—projects that are scalable, replicable, and genuinely making a difference.
As a trailblazer in ethical and sustainable awards, the GGA was the first in the world to be rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Awards Trust Mark in 2018—an accreditation it has held ever since. It continues to set the bar in running independent, transparent, and values-led ceremonies that “walk the talk” when it comes to sustainability.
Everything about the GGA ceremony reflects this ethos:
- Fully plant-based menu
- Sustainable beer and wine from Toast Brewing
- Hybrid format to reduce carbon emissions
- Democratization of sustainability, encouraging knowledge sharing, equity, and accessible progress
This year’s Circular Economy category places Clean the World among industry pioneers, including:
- ACS Clothing – championing fashion rental and repair
- Bantam Materials (Prevented Ocean Plastic) – transforming ocean-bound plastic into high-grade packaging
- Ambipar – turning waste into tree-planting biocapsules
- Reborn / Matt-Less – revolutionizing mattress recycling
- Ecore International – pushing innovation in TRUcircular industrial reuse
We’re also in the company of organisations shortlisted in other categories, such as Cisco Systems, Octopus Energy, HSBC, Openreach, and the National Trust—highlighting the scale of this recognition and the global movement toward responsible, regenerative business.
At Clean the World, we believe circularity should be embedded in every industry. This nomination is not only a celebration of our work but also a call to action for continued collaboration across sectors.
We’re honored to stand with fellow changemakers and excited to share the stage in September.
