As we wrap up 2024, Clean the World is thrilled to share some exciting milestones that highlight our hotel partners’ commitment to sustainability through our Global Hospitality Recycling Program . This year has been nothing short of extraordinary, showcasing our growth and the positive impact we can make together.
Exciting Growth in Hotel Partnerships
Our Global Hospitality Recycling Program has taken off this year:
- 178,000 new hotel rooms joined our program
- 886 new hotels partnered with us to reduce waste and promote hygiene
- Nearly two hotels signing up everybody on average
This year, more hotels joined the program than any other year since CTW’s inception, reflecting a global shift towards a greener future. The hospitality industry is increasingly recognizing its role in environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. This remarkable growth demonstrates a collective commitment to reducing waste and promoting hygiene on an international scale.
With these additions, our total portfolio now includes over 1.3 million hotel rooms worldwide.
Significant Environmental Impact
Thanks to our growing network of partners, we achieved remarkable results in waste diversion and resource conservation:
- Hotels diverted 1.5 million pounds (680,389 kilograms) of waste from landfills.
- Together, we saved millions of gallons of water.
- Our collaborative efforts produced around 7 million bars of soap from recycled materials.
To visualize this achievement, the weight of the waste we’ve diverted is comparable to:
- 100 adult elephants
- 375 average-sized cars
- 6 blue whales
