What are your sustainability objectives at Hilton Garden Inn Vilnius City Centre?
HILTON 2030 GOALS
In 2018, we set ambitious “Travel with Purpose 2030 Goals” to hold ourselves accountable for the environmental and social progress we aim to create in our business. Our 2030 Goals closely align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and include emissions-reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and aligned with the Paris Climate Agreement.
THE ESG STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK
Our ESG strategic framework serves as a blueprint for how we achieve our goals, organized into three pillars:
- E – ENVIRONMENTAL: We are building a more sustainable future for the hospitality industry through climate action and destination stewardship. We focus on reducing the environmental footprint of our hotels by reducing the use of energy, water, and the generation of waste.
- S – SOCIAL: Our business serves as an engine of opportunity in the places where our hotels operate, with a commitment to human rights and an inclusive culture. Our social initiatives provide career growth opportunities, positively impact our communities, and promote responsible, inclusive conduct.
- G – GOVERNANCE: We are committed to a robust governance structure, which allows us to advance and measure our goals with integrity.
Clean the World’s program supports hotel partners in Achieving their sustainability objectives
Clean the World’s hospitality recycling program supports Hilton Garden Inn Vilnius City Centre and all Hilton partners globally in achieving their water and waste objectives by 2030. The program’s impact reporting system allows hotel partners to track, measure, and share their impact on the hospitality recycling program, including the total amount of water saved and the total kilograms of waste diverted from landfill. This impact data is crucial for supporting hotels in monitoring and forecasting their sustainability objectives, with various laws and regulations starting to be phased in within the EU and UK starting in 2024, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) which was introduced this year.
