We are delighted to celebrate this recognition across our two brands, Clean the World and CTW Events, which help organisations put environmental and social impact into practice through hospitality recycling and purposeful event experiences.
About MIA
The Meetings Industry Association (MIA) is a trade association supporting the UK’s business meetings and events sector. Through industry insights, training, networking and its MIA Accreditation scheme, it helps members strengthen their businesses and uphold quality standards. Its annual miaList Awards celebrate the individuals, teams and organisations contributing to excellence across the sector.
Two brands, a shared purpose
Clean the World is a global social enterprise helping hotels turn discarded soap bars and plastic bathroom amenities into measurable environmental and social impact.
Through the Global Hospitality Recycling Program, Clean the World supports hospitality partners with collection, processing and impact reporting. Used soap is reprocessed into new bars for hygiene distribution, while plastic amenities are prepared and introduced into approved recycling streams.
Today, Clean the World works with more than 8,600 hospitality partners, representing over 1.4 million hotel rooms each day. Since 2009, the program has diverted more than 15 million kilograms of waste from landfill and distributed over 100 million bars of recycled soap to communities in need.
CTW Events creates purpose-driven corporate volunteering experiences that help organisations turn team connection into meaningful community impact.
Through hands-on hygiene kit builds and other social-impact activations, CTW Events brings together team activation and employee engagement in one memorable experience. Events are designed to be simple for organisations to deliver while creating measurable outcomes for charity and community partners.
Since 2012, CTW Events has:
Distributed more than 8.1 million hygiene kits
Engaged over 379,000 participants
Supported more than 284,000 volunteer hours
Supported a network of 1,000+ charity partners
CTW Events works with global brands, corporate organisations, event planners, agencies, venues and conference organisers to deliver scalable experiences that engage participants and provide practical support to communities in need.
Together, the brands offer practical ways for hotels, event organisers and businesses to involve their teams in activities that support their environmental and social objectives.
