We’re thrilled to share our recent participation at the Independent Hotel Show (IHS) in Amsterdam. Austin Eaton, our Head of Marketing for Clean the World Europe and the UK, had the privilege of gracing the stage at the Amsterdam event as a guest speaker.

His presentation focused on the central theme of “Sustainability is the Future,” sharing the importance of hospitality businesses finding sustainable solutions to support their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives.

During his presentation, Austin emphasized the importance of hospitality businesses starting their sustainability journeys and highlighted the ever-evolving landscape where sustainability is transitioning from a choice to a necessity. For instance, the EU has introduced new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) regulations this year. Although these regulations are currently only required for larger organizations, they are expected to become mandatory for various other sectors in the coming years.

One of the highlights of Austin’s talk was the introduction of Clean the World’s Global Hospitality Recycling Program as a viable solution for hotels. Clean the World’s recycling program offers hotel partners a simple solution to reduce waste and make a real impact by recycling in-room soap and plastic bottled amenity waste. The program also provides a tool for hotel partners to track, measure, and share their impact through Clean the World’s impact reporting system. With over 8,300 global partners, Clean the World provides hotel partners with a seamless, proven solution to support their sustainability objectives.
